Back Together Again

School got out the first week of June. Larry left town for work. Carter left town for EFY. Next, I left for girls camp. Upon my return, Chase and Larry left for scout camp. Larry returned 2 days later. Today Chase returned. I had our little neighbor boy take a picture of this moment of togetherness-while it lasts. It's fun having the kids grow up and get to experience different things, but it's also hard having everyone taking off in different directions all of the time. I know this is just the beginning. I feel like this is the first summer of this new phase of our lives.

Say What?

I just got home from Girls Camp where I had a wonderful time being a leader to a group of girls- some of which also happened to be the ages of 2 of my boys-12 & 14. One afternoon a group of giggling 12 year olds came running up to me and said they were playing the game 'MASH' and it said they were going to marry my 12 yr. old son Chase when they grew up. I related this story to my boys when I got home (protecting the identities of the girls), and Corbin my 8 yr. old and very self confident child said, "Which ones said they were going to marry me?"
Carter, the 14 yr. old, said to Chase, "How do any of them even know who you are?"

The possee out looking for Carter

Carter's younger siblings walked the crowded college campus looking everywhere for Carter to deliver something he forgot. Bingo! They spot him.

Carter is confused about the surprised visit. You came here . . . why?
Hey, Mom, I'm not sure that it is considered cool for me to be seen with these guys while I'm supposed to be away at college.
If he thought that was bad, wait till he sees these love notes we put on his dorm door!

Singing & Dancing in the Rain

Hanging out and shopping.

As Carter and Emron are dropped off at Taylor in Helman Halls for EFY, the forecast for the rest of the week is rain.

Congratulations, Graduate.

Today were Caleb's kindergarten commencement exercises. He made it through his first year in elementary school with flying colors. Bring on 1st grade because he is ready. Caleb receives his diploma from his teacher.

He has grown up, matured, and become hooked on phonics.

His little sister, on the other hand, proves she has some more growing up to do before being officially enrolled in school.

After her performance today we will wait to see if they ever let her attend this school.

Big Brother comes down from the stage and saves the day!

And shares his refreshements. Chloe adoringly admires her heroic big brother.

It's time to say goodbye to all things kindergarten. "Good-bye, Mrs. Megee. I will miss you. You will always have a special place in my heart."

"See you in first grade, buddies. I sure hope we recognize each other without our teeth."

"Slide, it's been fun but I've graduated to the big kid playground."

While at the kindergarten, do as the kindergartners do.

When Grandpa comes to Town

Grandpa said he would get a hotel the last night of his stay in Boise so he could let all of the grandkids use the ammenities. Or, do you think he just finally wanted a good nights sleep? Grandpa, ever apprehensive about getting to close to the water, encourages the grandkids from a 'safe' distance.

Larry, when Grandpa said "wear your suits", he apparently meant something different.

Carter came prepared with both 'suit' options.

The cousins are loving playing together in the pool.

The boys give workout room just as much attention as the pool.

Caleb gets intense about his workout.

You got your tickets....
