Contemporary Home

I have been working on a home and just finished it this weekend. It is a very contemporary design and has been a lot of fun. I will have more photos posted on my blog Interiors Redefined which can be linked through the sidebar of this blog. For the color scheme think of a Rocky Mtn. Chocolate Factory apple. A bright, crisp Granny Smith dipped in caramel, then dipped in dark chocoate and topped with a layer of creamy white chocolate and served up in a shiny foil wrapper. Voila!

Cute Cousins

Kelli and Kayla, our adorable neices, have moved to Boise and are sharing an apartment. Kelli just moved here from Washington and Kayla moved from Virginia a couple of months ago. Last night we had them over. They are such cute girls and it we are so excited they are in town. We hope to see them often.

Wiggin' Out

The pictures featured in this post may seem a little strange, so let me explain. My sister gave me some hair clip-ins that don't match my hair, but the boys (especially our actor, Corbin) got a kick out of trying it on. It started out just trying it on and evolved into accessorizing. Apparently a large number of NFL players have long hair so this inspired Chase to pull out his helmet. The consensus among the boys was that Chase definitely looked authentic. When I've seen long hair poking out of a helmet it has always been dredlocks, not goldilocks. Anyhow, this made for an amusing FHE. Ironically, the one who didn't want a thing to do with the hair clip-in was the actual girl in our family. Funny enough she looks like a little boy in her picture staring at the wig wearers.

New Aprons

These are our new matching hostess aprons that our friend Emily made. Chloe wore her dress that matches her hat to church yesterday. It was so cute. I will dress her up and take a picture to post. Getting these new things is too much fun. It makes me want to host something. Our FOOD cookbook magazine just arrived. We will have to find a yummy dish to make. Last month's Buttermilk Waffle recipe has become a favorite. Larry even whipped up a batch on Satruday morning.

Cutest Hat

My friend Emily, who can add amazing seamstress to her list of talents, makes adorable hats, aprons, hair bows, & you name it...
In exchange for me helping decorate her office, she made a gorgeous hostess apron, a ton of great hair bows and this adorable hat for which she is making a matching dress. I can't wait! Her company is called ella bella bebe--bows, bling and baby things. The great thing about her products is that she makes them interchangable so that the bows/flowers can be used on hats, hairbands or just in the hair. I think Chloe looks adorable. I LOVE it!
Caleb is the most excited about the BYU hair bow. As every member returned home from school and work today, he ran to tell them about the BYU bow.

It's so much FUN turning ONE!

The adorable one year old.
A sweet little one month old.

Wow! It's already been a year since our little angel, Chloe, entered this world. She is Sugar and Spice-completely sweet with a feisty side, too. She has brought so much joy into our lives. Every day we have so much fun watching her growth and development. She has sparkling blue eyes, a happy disposition and a constant curiosity and enthusiasm for the world around her. We love her dearly. Happy Birthday, little lady.

Corbin's Big Day

What a special day Corbin's baptism was. He was baptized and confirmed by his father. I was asked to give a talk in the service preceding the baptism. We are so proud of Corbin and the wonderful, kind, funloving boy he is. Thanks to our family members that were able to be there to support Corbin. We came back to our house for a bbq, lots of fun visiting and playing with cousins.
