I am not trying to hurt your feelings if you love purple, but I must say it is not my favorite color. Perhaps it's those memories of Prince from the 80's. That said, we have been wearing it about twice a week--as a whole family. Even Chase has been willing to sport the color of Barney the Dinosaur.
Chase thinks that the banner hanging in the gym reading, "REAL MEN WEAR PURPLE" better be true.
We have been watching a lot of freshman basketball games Carter has been playing in and his school colors are purple and white. His home uniforms are white and the away are totally purple.
On game days Carter is required to dress up in shirt, tie, etc. Purple is an in color this season so I have been able to find it for everyone and got Carter a nice tie and vneck sweater in purple. When I picked him up from school the first dress up game day, he came out to the car with an ear to ear grin. He got in the car and told me that a lot of girls told him he looks really good in Purple. Now if we could only get him to wear a color other than purple.

So that explains the purple sweater. Yes, it did look good on Carter, but I was surprised to see him in that color (especially knowing your feelings about the shade...).
