Chase's Viola
Chase decided to play the viola this year at his new school. It has taken a lot of commitment. Because most of the 5th graders in orchestra also took it last year, Chase has to give up his lunch recess 4 days a week to catch up. He comes home everyday and practices, too. He does get rather frustrated trying to get a good sound to come out at these beginning stages, but we are so impressed with his dedication.

How wonderful! How amazing. What motivates him to want to play the viola so much that he would give up recess for it? I've heard that the truly great minds of the last couple of centuries enjoyed the hobby of playing a stringed instrument -- Einstein, Eddison. Add Chase to that list. Way to go, Chase.
We are excited to hear Chase play sometime when he's up to it.
His dedication is very impressive. I hope he keeps up with it. I wish I played something.
