The BYU vs. BSU Basketball Game

Getting dressed up and ready to go cheer for the Cougars!
At the game.
We showed up and cheered, but unfortunately BYU lost by 3. Nobody can deny that it was an exciting game right up until the end.
And BYU had the cutest cheerleader of all.

Merry Christmas 2007

Chloe slept in while most of the unwrapping took place. She was happy when she woke up and enjoyed all the attention.
Caleb loves Christmas and is trying to figure out how the whole Santa thing works. He especially loves his A10 and football gear.
Corbin is in football heaven.
In addition to the items pictured here, Chase is super excited about his guitar and his new scooter.
Carter loves his Payton Manning jersey and Ipod stuff.
*As you look at these pictures, notice the biggest kid of all in the background. Pretty cute.

Christmas Eve dinner & Jammies

Feasting on a dinner of ham, potatoes, rolls, asparagus, salad, pecan pie & deep dish apple crumb pie.
Keepin up the tradition of Christmas Eve Jammies.
Chloe's first Christmas P.J.'s.

Nighty-night. Sleep tight!

Christmas Eve

Jared & Kim Hill invited us over, along with the Sayers, to act out the Nativity. Jared narrated, the kids acted, and we sang Christmas hymns and songs.

Then we enjoyed a delicious chocolate fountain with cream puffs, brownies and all kinds of yummy fruit. Larry really liked the cream puffs!

Jaren and Emily wonder just how many cream puffs Larry can put away.

Good things are worth the wait!

After a stressful time of thinking my quilt got lost in the mail, it showed up and I love it! Thanks Gramma Hawkes for making it for me. It looks so pretty in my nursery.

Christmas Countdown Calendar or Fantasy Football Scoreboard?

We have this snowman sitting on a table in our entry telling us how many days are left until Christmas, or so Corbin thinks. To Caleb, it is his "fantasy" football scoreboard. Every day he comes home from preschool, walks by the snowman and says, "Hey, the score wasn't 2 to 1 [if it is Dec. 4th], it was 0 to 9 and we won." He is the QB for the Boise State Broncos every day at recess, and they have a pretty good winning streak. Corbin gets home from school after Caleb, walks past the snowman and says, " SWEET! There are only 9 days until Christmas!" The next morning he passes the snowman again on his way out the door to school (by this time I have fixed the number to reflect the true countdown), and he confusedly comments, "Hey, wait, yesterday there were only 9 days and today there are 20!" This comedy routine goes back and forth day after day. It is rather amusing.

Chase & Corbin's Concert

Corbin giving his speaking part in the elementary school Christmas concert.

The school does a concert with the 2nd graders being accompanied by the 5th grade orchestra. This worked out great for us since Corbin is a 2nd grader, and Chase plays viola for the 5th grade orchestra! We needed a 2 for 1. As you will see from the posts below, we get to attend a few concerts.

Caleb's Christmas Concert

His Cloverdale Christian Academy pre-school class singing Frosty the Snowman. Caleb is in the upper right corner with a red band around his hat.
This is a post-concert photo in front of the door to his classroom. Yesterday he brought jingle bells home with a tag on which was written, "Jingle for Jesus".

Hey, who is that saxophonist? Kenny G? Carter Christensen?

Can you tell Carter becomes a teenager next month? Every time he knew we were going to take a picture, he tried to hide. We got some great shots of his saxophone. It was a good concert and Carter has really turned into quite the musician. Plus, if he ever becomes famous, he's mastered the art of dodging the paparazzi.

Happy 3 month birthday, Chloe!

As I was getting Chloe dressed to take her and Caleb to see Santa, Caleb was talking to her and said, "Oh, Chloe, you are soooo cute and you are sooo skinny because you've never had a baby." I'm not sure what to make of that?

Caleb wishes you a Merry Christmas

In preparation for his pre-school show, I was able to get Caleb to share his poem and song with me.

26 years young

We enjoyed having cake and ice-cream with the Hill's to celebrate Laura turning 26. Karin and Laura share the same birthday, and ironically Karin spent her birthday in Tucson playing in snow. We can't wait to have all of us together next year when Karin celebrates her 30th! We hope both Laura and Karin had a happy day!

Feliz Cumpleanos

We had a great time going out to lunch at a Mexican Restaurant for Aunt Laura's birthday. Jayden was able to practice his Spanish with the waiters. Gracias, Laura, for letting us spend the afternoon with you.
